Laurie Kirk

Laurie Kirk has taught art in San Jose Unified since 1990 and is honored to have been teaching at Pioneer since 2005. She is a graduate of Los Gatos High School.  As a professional artist, she continues to work in a variety of media and materials. Her hobbies include fly fishing, traveling, gardening, and cooking. She is a San Francisco Giants fan. She has an old cat and four goofy chickens. Ms. Kirk loves her job and is very impressed with the Pioneer students.

National Art Honor Society
The Application process for the National Art Honor Society will begin in early December of 2016.  Please note that 15 hours of art related service are required per year to qualify for membership in addition to two teacher recommendations. To graduate with a NAHS Rainbow Honor Cord, two years of service in the club as well as 30 total hours of community service
are required. 

Pioneer’s NAHS Service Project for Good Samaritan Hospital’s Pediatrics Unit.  NAHS and the Art Club decorate a tree for the pediatrics lobby.
