Single Plan for Student Achievement

Each school in San José Unified annually develops a Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). This plan includes the academic goals the school will be working on during the year and shows how the school will be using the funds allocated to the site.

The SPSA is written with the help of the School Site Council, which then approves the final document and forwards it to the Board of Education for their approval.

Senior Baby Ads for the 2017-2018 Pioneer High School yearbook are on sale now through March 12. Each ad contains 2 photos and a message of no more than 100 words, and costs $50. Order forms will be distributed in senior classes and available for pickup in the front office and room P6. Email photos and messages to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), or drop them off in room P6. Payment is accepted through the webstore, or cash, check or money order to the PHS Yearbook Club. Space is limited, get yours soon!

College and Career:
Community College: A Wise Choice! January 17, 6-7:30pm in the Library
An informative event where you can learn more about community college, support programs, and financial aid. Community college representatives from multiple colleges will be available to answer questions.

Specifics:    Several representatives from 6 local Community College
              Panel Discussion, question & answer session, then tabling

              Movie and supervision for young siblings.

Attention all Lacrosse team members.  There will be a Lacrosse Meeting tomorrow (1/18) during lunch in room 307.

Pre-Season Meeting for Boy’s Tennis team TODAY (Tuesday), January 16 after school. Meet by the bleachers at the tennis courts.  Official start of tryouts will be on Monday, January 29 at 3:15 on the tennis courts.

Football meeting for all players, Frosh/Soph and Varsity in the main gym, TODAY, Wednesday (1/17). Any and ALL that want to part of the football teams, please attend. Any questions see Coach Perry (R10).

Anyone interested in being on the swim team this year, there will be an informational meeting TODAY Wednesday, January 17 at lunch in the gym. 

Attention to all Fall and Winter student athletes who are planning to try-out for a Spring sport… No need to go to the registration days to pick up your “Ticket to Play”. Go see Coach Berticevich in room 307 starting next week during Brunch, Lunch, or Flex period. He will give you your “Ticket to Play”

Pioneer High School is pleased to announce the launching of this year’s “Help a ‘Stang” Peer Tutoring Program in the Library /Media Center after school until about 4:00 pm. The following are the current tutors available.  Please see Ms. Rosales if you have any questions.
