Welcome to the new school year!

Dear Pioneer Families,

The Pioneer High School Education Foundation welcomes you to Pioneer High School, a California Distinguished School and a California Gold Ribbon School with an exceptional record of academics, athletics, and performing arts. In fact, Pioneer is the only school in San Jose Unified School District with the Gold Ribbon award!

The PHSEF is committed to supporting the academic programs and technological improvements at Pioneer.  Last year, thanks to your generous support, we were able to support a number of Pioneer’s wonderful programs – including the National Honor Society, Science Olympiad, and the Turn-Around Awards. Foundation funds also support Pioneer’s nationally recognized Service Learning Program, subsidize the cost of producing the student run newspaper, Pony Express, and provides student scholarships and senior awards. In addition, several requests for departmental materials and equipment were funded for departments, including Art and Science, along with an Art field trip, the Journalism national conference and equipment for labs and classrooms.

We invite you to become involved.  Meetings are held monthly at the school; check the website calendar for times and dates.  Questions can be emailed to: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)  Whether or not you are able to attend our meetings, we still need your financial assistance. We are asking each family for a donation of $100 or more – though any amount is appreciated.  Donating is easy; either return the donor form (below) in the attached envelope or contribute online using PayPal. Simply go to http://www.pioneerhigh.org, click on the Education Foundation link and hit the donate button. Don’t forget to check with your employer for a matching donation program and take advantage of doubling your contribution.  Also, check out our e-Scrip program – more information can be found at http://www.pioneerhigh.org, go to the Donate tab and then click on e-Scrip.

Thank you for your support!
